General Plan Update 2024

"Reaching Higher Together"

Welcome!

Nestled at the foot of American Fork Canyon, Highland is a cherished community that many people call home. With its adjacency to the Wasatch Mountains and a unique setting between work centers in Provo and Lehi, the City provides a high quality of life to its residents and is an enviable place to live. Growth and development pose both opportunities and challenges for maintaining and enhancing the characteristics that people love about this place.

Now is the time to make good choices. With the last vestiges of remaining open land soon to
be developed, a new general plan is essential to retain the essence of what the City is today
while establishing a clear path forward to improve the quality of life as the City approaches
buildout.
